Part 3 - Creating creation

Humans! We are intelligent and stupid at the same time!

I recently started to comment on reddit about some religious posts talking about love and the Creator. I got an interesting comment about a person saying that the univers has always been. The Bible starts off like this:

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In french, heaven is translated to "cieux" and most of the times when talking to children, we won't tell them that dead people end up in paradise but "au ciel" which, litterally, translates to "in the sky".

dictionary.com defines heaven with 2 different definitions pertaining to our subject. First one is:

"the abode of God, the angels, and the spirits of the righteous after death; the place or state of existence of the blessed after the mortal life."
dictionary.com (2021-02-23)

The second one pertaining to our subject is this:

"the sky, firmament, or expanse of space surrounding the earth."
dictionary.com (2021-02-23)

In the context, we can presume that we are talking about the second definition. And we can clearly see that there is a distinction between space arround the earth and the earth itself. Another point we can see is that there seemed to exist an earth already but it simply had no shape and void. We also see that darkness existed and that this darkness had a position upon the face of the deep. We also have another weird instance that makes us believe that waters existed since it also states that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of waters. THEN, again, there is also something very interesting. Throughout the whole Bible, it talk about God being God as a single word, God. But the very first introduction of the Bible states that the SPIRIT of God moved. Looking at how much emphasis people put on words and definitions, why would the Bible start off by saying the spirit of God instead of simply saying GOD moved, why the difference?

Genesis 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Right there, 3rd verse and already we hop from Spirit of God to simply God. Weirdly, instead of introducing us to who God is at the first place to understand a very important matter in the Bible which is God in 3 different forms forming 1 single entity, the Bible just starts with our creation. It would have been helpfull to begin the Bible like this:

"God has always been, where time and space was not, God was, has been and will always be. Word, Intelligence and Spirit are different entities belonging to one single being, God. God is all of these at once and all of them work together but have their own ways of behaving."
David Richard (Qc/Can)

I'll pause here for a moment and come back to that reddit comment I read about everlasting univers. We, humans, have this misinterpretation that something MUST be created to exist. We don't just happen to popup in this world! A man and a woman has sex, sperm reaches an egg and a human is formed and shaped. That basically is a creation process amongst all other mammals and other living creatures doing something that creates another copy of itself. The big question here is:

What is the origin of life?

A question that has made people give theories and bring so many different ideas to try and explain how we have been. I am NOT going to answer that question because noone can. Or at least, noone can prove anything as it can only be used by faith which I will talk about in another article. How can we blame a person believing that there is no creation and that the world simply has been? And how can we blame the others who believe the world is because of a Creator? The concept of creation is somewhat very debatable.

I love the Matrix movies. There one point in the first movie where Neo is learning to fight with Morpheus. At a moment, when Neo is defeated, he breaths heavilly and Morpheus looks at him asks if he thinks that he is really breathing air. That's a very fun concept and even if it's from a movie, you can compare it to our world and it's origin.

I named this part: Creating creation. I have a tendency to love to title texts in weird or contradicting ways. The very idea of creating something is very particular. We use words without knowing or without thinking that these words had a beginning somewhere. There's a french movie about prehistoric people, it's called "Rrrrrr!" Yeah, litterally, just R's. They comedically depict the first crime that happened in history. 2 moments come to mind in this movie. The first one is a play on words where Stone Age is translated in french to "L'âge de pierre" and the movie makes fun of it and shows that every one is named "Pierre" no matter the sex, male of female. Then, further in the movie, the people have a hard time pronouncing a new person's name "Guy". The movie litterally spends a few minutes showing us a bunch of people trying their best to pronounce this name. Another instance of the movie, the leader of the group decides to name the killing of another person "Crime". And again, comedically, he states that he could have chosen to call it "Murder" but he chose "Crime". It may sound stupid, but it is also very intelligent because indeed, where do our words come from? How did they happen to exist?

Weirdly, we can say that the word "create" was created for a reason (play on words intended). But there is also another conept to think about and that is the actions or consequences or feelings of what those words mean. dictionary.com defines create as this:

"1. to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes.
2. to evolve from one's own thought or imagination, as a work of art or an invention."
dictionary.com (2021-02-23)

What I find funny out of what I am typing right now is that I am handing out definitions of words that also have words that have been defined before. When you start looking up for definitions, which is extremely helpfull when reading the Bible, you easily end up looking for definitions of words that have been used to define other words. For example "evolve" is defined this way:

to develop gradually:
dictionary.com (2021-02-23)

And we could go on with Develop, gradual, etc... The point I am making here is that we, humans, are limited by the difinition of our own words. Somehow, there has to have been a moment where things were not and have been afterwards. Words did not just exist! An intelligence has to have existed prior to all of this. No matter what you think, a bacteria cannot have evolved to a talking human if an intelligence was not created initially. AND the very fact of creation could not have been possible if something did not initially act in a creative way to give a definition to the very word of creation. Therefor, creation had a beginning and so, creation was first created.

The idea of "always has been" is simply, humanly impossible because nothing ever will be forever unless...UNLESS....Many people know the movie Avatar. In that movie, they believe that their ancestors share their new existance within nature and live through it. This makes nature their very own relative which they treat with utter most respect. When they kill an animal, they will thank him for their sacrifice. Although it looks like a very simple and old age way of thinking, it is not far from the truth. If you think of it this way, the idea of everlasting or eternal is maybe more simple than what we think. The Creator created heaven and earth in a way that the earth is able to sustain itself on its own.

I saw a video on Netflix about how a desert is the biginning of life. In a few words, this desert produces salt that when its raining, animals finish up by walking through the mud until the ocean which then carries these minerals until they end up through a cycle of rain until it arrives in the Amazon. So from a salty desert, things come back to life in the Amazon making both, the Amazon and the Desert critical for the surviving of this earth. Everything on this earth is critical to the everlasting living of this very earth. And as disgusting as this may sound, you may have already eaten a small tiny particle of what was once one of your relatives who got buried and rotted in the depths of dirt. We use tombstones to identify the location of where our relatives got burried, but this does not mean that their remains have frozen in time down deep and have not travelled far. It may be disgusting, but think of it this way, life is a perpetual cycle of life and death. Our ancestors gave birth which led to us being living and the cycle will perpetually continue.

The christians have this misconception that God controls everything at his will and as he wishes. But the idea of needing to continuously managing a creation in constant need of our attention gets boring pretty quickly. It is not a surprise to understand that the Creator did indeed create this world but created it so it can be auto-sufficient. The great intelligence is not the creation itself but the creation of a perpetual life that will never end. We have created many things throughout history, many things that are close to being perpetual but never have we created anything that is auto-sufficient. And the problem with renewable resources is that we are greedy and see power and wealth through perpetuality while as the Creator created a perpetual world free for us to enjoy.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

As we can see, the earth and everything on it was created for humans to enjoy and use freely. Further, we see that humans were not supposed to die and God chose to remove humans from the possibility of living forever using the Tree of Life:

Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
...
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

We also see in the fall of men the greatest weakness of men:

Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

The important part here is "to make one wise". This happens to prove AGAIN my previous part which talks about us humans according so much importance to knowledge that it actually hinders us. We give so much importance to knowledge that we forget to do the very basic things that matter the most and are more important than knowing. Here's another battle of life discutions: Was Adam tempted to eat from that tree or was he simply tempted to follow Eve because of passion, lust and/or love? Because clearly here, the only person that got tempted was Eve. Why did the snake NOT chose Adam to tempt him? Some may speculate and say that Man was the head of leading and the way to reach the head was to get to his weakness, therefor the woman making women, the weakness of men. But THAT is not specified and I am just throwing possibilities without any solid proofs. Many christians will talk over me and simply say that life itself proves what you just said, isn't that enough proof for you? The answer is NO. Influence is only influence if we choose to let it be.

My wife talked to me recently about an event in her life. She mentionned that people are weak. Someone can easily fall into a bad habit but the fall into this habit begins with a decision. You decide to go ahead into a bad habit, you chose to accept and try or live a moment to fullfill your curiosity. But in the end, once this habit has got into you, you live through it and it becomes a way of living and that's where life starts to change who you are from being respectfull to not respectfull. Everything starts with a decision and if you are not strong enough to stay true to what you believe, then you let your weakness overwhelm you and it will then bring difficulties in you life. From the destruction of your couple, family, friends, relationships and even up to death.

I will point out here that this is an evolution. An evolution comming from a simple idea which them brings an action. So believing in Evolution instead of Creation is not a false way to believe because technically speaking, God had an idea that evolved into the creation of the univers. I will soon talk about evolution in the Creator's mind soon because many christians believe that God does NOT change and has not evolved. But by judging from the definition of Creation itself, creation is the evolution of an idea. And in this case, Creation has been created by the evolution of an idea. So we could say that Creation is actually the second step of evolution. But again, an idea has a begining, therefor, it has a creation. What is creation then? Was the creation the initial idea God had? Or was the Creation the begining of this physical univers? Without answering directly to my initial question, I would still be confident to say that the Origin of life began with Creation but not THE creation. Therefor, The Origin of life is the evolution of an idea from an intelligent being. This means that creation was not created until a definition could be attached to it.

I will end this with my intial thoughts about what God is with this reference in the Bible:

Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

It states "the man has become as one of us". God refered to himself as "us" or did God refer to the spiritual side of the world to be having different beings asside from him meaning that "us" refers to a being in this other reality? I love people that talk about faith because faith is believing in what we cannot understand or explain. Of course, christians have another definition of Faith which I WILL cover in another article, so please, be patient. For now, we can only see that our language does matter a lot to help us understand very basic things and that we can just not explain everything no matter how many words we know. We went from God saying something to humans saying something and all of that, in languages we still cannot confirm today because WHO was there in the begining? Noone!

But stating that life is evolution is not an understatement; And creation was initially not existing as a word to define. Creation had to be created so that the word could exist and the act could live.

"Not knowing the details of something does not mean that they do not exist."

  1. I am at awe to how your mind works. It's fun to read your articles because people get to see things in a perspective they don't usually have.

    Up for the next part!🥰
